One of the Italian villages that is absolutely worth seeing is located on the beautiful Lake Garda and is the small town of Lazise, a village located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda.

It is easy to reach, it is located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, north of Castelnuovo del Garda and south of Bardolino, just over 20 km west of Verona.

The name Lazise derives from the Latin word “laceses” and means city on the lake.

The hamlet of Colà is very well known, with the wonderful Garda Thermal Park which hosts two thermal lakes, both very well equipped. For this reason the park is definitely worth at least one visit.

Lazise hosts a series of interesting events throughout the year such as concerts, the Christmas market with local delicacies, the feast of San Martino, and also every Wednesday there is the weekly market, absolutely worth seeing.

This small village is one of the most important tourist centers of Lake Garda, thanks also to the proximity of the famous amusement parks of Gardaland and Canevaworld.

Lazise, ​​like many other villages overlooking Lake Garda, has an elegant and colorful appearance that makes it an interesting tourist destination from various points of view, rich in monuments, which testify to the long and complex history of the village especially in medieval times.

There is certainly no shortage of hotels, residences, holiday apartments, B&Bs and well-equipped campsites that offer accommodation options for all tastes and throughout the year.

Among the things to see and photograph in Lazise, ​​there is the Scaligero Castle, built around the year 1000 as a bulwark against the Hungarians, the Venetian Customs House, built in the fourteenth century, which is housed inside a very beautiful building that is reflected right on the lake.

Other monuments that are worth visiting are the Church of Saints Zeno and Martino, from 1200, the Church of San Nicolò, dating back to the 12th century and dedicated to San Nicolò da Bari, the Renaissance Villas Moscardo and Da Sacco a Colà and Villa De Beni in Pacengo and the romantic villas dating back to the 19th century, which are just a few refined examples of civil architecture not to be missed.

In Lazise there are not only beautiful monuments to visit, because there are many other activities to try, such as water sports, walks in the park or on the beautiful lakeside, nature excursions, boat trips, cycling and mountain biking, and many other activities.

For those who want to unwind and sunbathe in total relaxation, there are always the beaches on the shores of the lake.
