The medieval village of Grazzano Visconti
Not everyone knows that there is a place in Italy where time seems to have stopped in the Middle Ages, a beautiful village full of surprises and oddities that fascinate all visitors, both adults and children.
We are talking about the incredible village of Grazzano Visconti, a unicum in the entire history of our Bel Paese, which is located along the Provincial Road of Val Nure, at equal distance from Podenzano and Vigolzone.
Even if castles and crenellated towers appear, this fascinating edge does not date back to the Middle Ages, but is a realistic representation of the Middle Ages created during the last century by will of the noble Visconti family, to make us all experience strong emotions with a return to the past.
Everything was created to relive moments of the Middle Ages by walking through the streets and roads of the village that is located a stone’s throw from the city of Piacenza and is, and remains, truly a jewel to be discovered.
Like every self-respecting medieval castle, that of Grazzano Visconti also has its ghost.
Legend has it that the spirit of Aloisa, who died from the pain caused by her husband’s betrayal, wanders inside the house playing pranks on all those who visit the castle without leaving her a gift.
